Balsam Range celebrates #1 on Billboard chart
Arden, North Carolina (February 13, 2019) — Mountain Home congratulated IBMA Entertainer of the Year Balsam Range for their success with Aeonic, the band’s ninth studio album, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart in January.
The band received commemorative plaques for their Billboard debut as well as their #1 Bluegrass Radio single, “The Girl Who Invented The Wheel,” a song that brings a clever twist to the traditional love ballad.
"I could not be more proud of the project or of the individuals that worked so hard to make this project come to life. And most importantly, a big thanks to all the supporters!” says Buddy Melton, Balsam Range vocalist and fiddle player.
On Aeonic, Balsam Range’s acoustic music mastery shines with arresting songs full of humanity, dynamic performances graced with subtleties, and material that is both personal and profound.
The album has remained in the top 4 of the Billboard Bluegrass Album chart for 5 weeks and has also been on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, Americana/Folk Chart and Current Country Chart. Since its January release, Aeonic has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone Country and Billboard.com.
