Hello e-neighbors!  Hope all is well in your world.  Just an update on a few things.  We had a wonderful weekend on the road: Blue Plate Special, Station Inn, Bluegrass in the Park, and closed it out by being part of the Henderson County, NC Free Clinics fundraiser on Sunday.  We made a lot of new friends on our journey and on Sunday, over $30,000 was raised to help folks in need.  This was amazing!  It reminds me why we would should all strive to be better people.  My Grandfather always told me …”Be good to everyone…you can’t live in this world alone.” Good advice. :)

I want to tell you about a new product that we’ve all discovered. In the words of Yosemite Sam.  hahahaha  Looking forward to a fun weekend on the road!

We have some interesting shows coming up this weekend.  Just wanted to drop a line and keep you in the loop. If you’re near Knoxville TN, Nashville TN, Henderson KY, Hendersonville NC…or just near a computer, you can have a big time with us!

We’re excited about performing LIVE in Knoxville, TN this Friday 8/12 at noon. We’ll be guests on the Blue Plate Special on WDVX 102.9 FM.  We’ll be joined by Michael Reno Harrell and the show is open to the public.  And you can listen to the live in-studio on the radio or from anywhere in the world via webstream at www.wdvx.com.

The same night we’ll kick off at the world famous Station Inn in Nashville, TN about 9pm.  I used to play it with Alecia Nugent all the time and Balsam Range was there once when the band first started.  You never know who’ll show up and get up to perform with us.  I am really looking forward to seeing all my old Nashville pals.  If you’re in the area…please stop by for a great time at a classic venue.  www.stationinn.com

Saturday, 08/13 we’re at a great festival in Henderson, KY. It’s called Bluegrass in the Park – Folklife Festival. It’s located at Audubon Mill Park. We’re there with Bearfoot, James King, Darrell Webb, Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice and many more. We’ve gotten to do a lot of shows with Junior and the boys this year., and we must say …he’s an amazing singer but they have become super friends as well.  Can’t wait to have a good time at this one!  www.bluegrassintheparkfestival.com

We’ll round it out by pulling an all-nighter to get back to Hendersonville, NC on Sunday afternoon (8/14), but it’s for a worthy cause.  It’s a fundraising event we do each year at Champion Hills Country Club for Free Clinics of Henderson County.  It’s a great organization,  and we help raise around $40,000each year.
