Some great Americana/Roots festivals helping get Balsam Range music to new audiences.

We are tickled to be playing a lot of shows coming up that are more for general music than one specific genre. We love this because that is basically what we consider Balsam Range music. We all have diverse musical backgrounds and tastes. We feel that and original material is what indentifies us. We love to play old bluegrass standards, our own music, and also have a toe in the pool of many other genres.  These types of shows get us in front of new folks that may never see us otherwise and we hope to do something they like. Web-streaming, Satellite radio and listeners like you have been super to us too.  And humbly said have given us many National #1 songs. Included recently launching “Trains I Missed” to number one. We’d love to see BR grow and our music grow to roots music fans and beyond. Thanks for all the support …we’re having a blast.  All these things are helping roots music, like ours, so please support them. Balsam Range just wants to make the best music we can, do a little something for everyone’s taste, and ENTERTAIN!!  We love you guys!!!

Balsam Range has been so fortunate to get tremendous radio support worldwide with our 3 band recordings.  And we thank you all humbly.  We constantly get nice notes, airplay all over and notes from listeners.  All of you keep this music we love going and possible to hear. I just wanted to share a quick note I got from my friend Andrea who sent a message just after “Trains I Missed” was voted #1 CD of 2010 on of of our local stations.

“Congratulations to Balsam Range. I know that little ole KRFC in Fort Collins isn’t a flagship station, but “Trains I Missed” was #2 on my Top 20 Favorite 2010 CD releases. Tim O’Brien’s “Chicken & Egg’ was #1. Our website is We do web-stream. Our show is Rocky Mountain Breakdown, Saturdays Noon – 3:00 pm MOUNTAIN Time zone.” Andrea Bradstreet, KRFC, Fort Collins, CO

You all are the best!  I encourage you all to support good radio and people who give roots music a platform!
