We’re so excited to have Audie Blaylock coming to WNC. It says a lot when you’re excited to see your in-laws.

hahaha

Audie is a Grammy Nominee and a once in a lifetime musician and singer.  I married his cousin and he has still not forgiven me. :)

He’s bringing his great band to NC for a special night of music. Bluegrass at the Rock w/ Balsam Range and Audie Blaylock & Redline.  Saturday, November 5th, at The Old Rock School in Valdese NC – 7pm. You can hear a live interview on the radio, 88.7,  the same day.  WNCW.org. Audie Blaylock and Redline – \”Matches\

I met Audie many years ago after he’d left Rhonda Vincent and the Rage.  He started his own fire-breathing, traditional bluegrass band.  I traveled all over the U.S. and Australia doing shows with them.  All were fun, but the first will always be the most memorable. It was in Imlay City MI at the high school where his cousin, Jennifer, was teaching.  We met that weekend and soon after had opportunities to spend  a lot more time around each other.  Not long after that, she and I started dating long distance.  That was in 2006.  We’ve now been married 3 years and I brought her to the promised land, Canton North Carolina. She is now the vocal music director and teaching at Asheville High School.  I could not be more proud of her. And I could not be more happy in my life. Glad things work out the way they do.  I don’t know if Audie would agree, since her parents quit speaking to him.  hahaha

This is some insight on why 11/5/11 at the Old Rock School will be fun and sort of coming full circle.
