Some great Americana/Roots festivals helping get Balsam Range music to new audiences.

We are tickled to be playing a lot of shows coming up that are more for general music than one specific genre. We love this because that is basically what we consider Balsam Range music. We all have diverse musical backgrounds and tastes. We feel that and original material is what indentifies us. We love to play old bluegrass standards, our own music, and also have a toe in the pool of many other genres.  These types of shows get us in front of new folks that may never see us otherwise and we hope to do something they like. Web-streaming, Satellite radio and listeners like you have been super to us too.  And humbly said have given us many National #1 songs. Included recently launching “Trains I Missed” to number one. We’d love to see BR grow and our music grow to roots music fans and beyond. Thanks for all the support …we’re having a blast.  All these things are helping roots music, like ours, so please support them. Balsam Range just wants to make the best music we can, do a little something for everyone’s taste, and ENTERTAIN!!  We love you guys!!!

    Buddy and Caleb,

I spoke with Marc about a possible show and he told me to contact you both. The Bailey Mountain Cloggers have been invited to dance in an international folk festival in Paderborn Germany June 17-25. We are the only group from the United States and we will be representing the Southern Appalachian dance and music heritage of our area. There will be many other countries there as well. That being said, we need a few musicians to travel and play with us on the trip. I have seen you all perform many times and it would be an honor to work with your group. The festival has us performing once a day for the week , and then they have seperate performances just for the bands. They also have workshops where you can teach other countries about your instruments and have demonstrations. They are also encouraging that you bring promotional materials such as CD’s to sell. I know that this is very late notice, but we have had another band that traveled with us a few years ago, back out on us recently. For the festival, all meals, housing, and transportation are covered once we arrive in Germany. The only thing they do not pay for is the cost of the plane tickets to travel to Germany. The cloggers would definitly be willing to do a benefit concert in order to help pay the way for you all to join us. I have attached the festival website and they are also on facebook. It is sure to be a great time and again, we would love to work with your group. Please let me know if you are available and or intrested and if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
