Bluegrass and Blues – Available Now

Posted on: March 11th, 2011 by Mountain Home Music Company

Balsam Range brings another stellar performance for this second installment of videotaped shows live from the Colonial Theater in Canton, North Carolina. Their set from February 19th delivers new songs from the chart topping “Trains I Missed “release as well as crowd favorites from the groups live repertoire. Each video vault performance from the group brings you a new set of fine Bluegrass from one of the country’s finest groups.

Mark down their names—Reggie and Ryan, the Harris Brothers. Their vast repertoire is brought to life by striking sibling harmony, Reggie’s lightning-fast fingers and sultry blues licks, faithfully wed to Ryan’s from-the-gut bass guitar lines. Mix all that together, and the Harris Brothers’ music conjures up the haunting rhythms and reminisces of legendary bluesmen ranging all the way from Blind Lemon to B.B King. But it ain’t all blues, brother! These two road-savvy pickers can just as effectively pull off a Conway Twitty or a Doc Watson-type tune. Originals are packed in that trademark Harris Brothers’ kickdrum suitcase as well.

The performances are available now here:

I have taken my children to the shows numerous times and have danced for Balsam Range for years. While we are Methodist, we are very careful about what our children and ourselves are subjected to in these trying times. I have never had a moments thought of ill towards any comment or song made by this great group of Christians. I think you guys are doing a great job and the best you can with the diverse fan base that you have. Keep up the good work. In Gods love and mercy. Tammy

Man, I sure enjoyed “Balsam Range” with the “boxacrs” in Canton last St. night. I love all these guys. Good christan men also. The very best sound, and you can tell they love each other. They had as much fun as I did. I’m a BG nut, and BR is my favorite group of all!!!
Please keep up the good sound. See ya down the road.
